Grounding

Helps: when the goal is already decided and the gap is acting on it: one written if-then plan, tied to a cue you will actually meet and as specific as a day and time, raises follow-through for a single goal

Backfires: when one page carries plans for many goals at once, which draws attention to how hard they all are and weakens commitment, and when an identity goal is announced to people who will merely notice it, which can feel like progress already made, so the "Who I will tell" line stays off by default
